First, The Weather

Summertime gives us warmth, sun, and here on the East Coast, humidity. Spring is the best season for a wedding because you get the best of both worlds without sweating down your white dress. While spring is mild, it can also be unpredictable. When planning a spring wedding the best thing to do is a plan for several different scenarios. Plan for rain, sunshine, or even a chilly breeze. If you’ve accounted for every weather scenario ahead of time, you won’t be surprised the day of.

Get Creative with Color

You may be tempted to stick with the pastels you’ve seen at past spring weddings, but look to mother nature for more creative inspiration. Bold, bright fuchsia gives a stunning contrast to standard wedding whites while yellow look lovely against fresh green grass.

Consider Layers

Since the weather is mild, you can take advantage of some of the prettiest weddings trends such as dresses with sleeves and clothing made with more substantial fabric. It would probably be a better idea to skip the lightweight chiffon gowns or linen tuxedos.

Save the Date!

Springtime may not be the peak of wedding season but venues, caterers, and bands will book up if you wait until the last minute. Once you’ve decided on a venue and other aspects of the wedding, book them as soon as possible.
